Today I’ve got a massive new collaboration between Canadian dubstep duo Adventure club and the Chicago trio Krewella. This track “Rise & Fall” features some amazing production, including some amazing vocals from the girls of Krewella. It’s so smooth, then crashes with bass so hard. I hope this is only the beginning of these two groups working together. Enjoy!

"After a few guitar lessons, Kenneth Mullins was hooked and started along the path known as“JAKATO”. High school in Lancaster, California was a musical estuary as he learned life’s lessons indiscriminately exploring hip hop, rap, metal, rock and just about everything on the radio waves. Upon moving to San Diego at 18, Jakato was thrown into the club scene with electro-house baiting him to the realization ‘I was hooked when I learned a single musician can compose a complete track digitally with only a computer and a mouse... so my quest began!’ Self-taught and self-reliant he traded string-strumming for music with volts. ‘Electronic music happened!’
Motivated by his vision and gift to digitally reproduce any sound be it piano, guitar, or the tunes that speak to his mind. While the likes of Eminem, Biggie, Eric Schrody, and Eddie Van Halen influenced his art, his present electronica inspirations come from the sets of Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto. Jakato aligns himself with peers Deadmau5, Morgan Page, Skrillex, Porter Robinson and Avicii whom he praises for walking the road, turning dreams to reality, and believing in oneself and others always. Jakato’s road thus far has involved three years, day in and out of learning digital audio workstations/programs, thus achieving the sounds he produces today.
Together with fellow producer and DJ, Christian De La Torre, the one vision of connecting with people through music motivates their busy days and late nights. Jakato sums it up, “This day and age is about serving others. No one above the other. We all have our place in life. That said, it is amazing to know that people will support good music that reaches them and moves them greatly. If we can show the people what we feel or how we feel or teach them something through music, moving them physically or mentally... well then we are bringing people together and uniting people on common ground through music!”
Jakato recognizes the focus on music in Armin Van Buuren’s fans. When asked about his vision for music in his future, the Jakato heart bleeds a sense of community as he wants to give a portion of future success back in a pay-it-forward way. Jakato is ambition, no doubt and with his heart in duo with music, he can achieve anything. Music is his lifeline and he is more than ready to share it."

These two tracks, I felt, deserved honorable mentions:
1) Shocktone - Drop It
Follow Shocktone here
Shocktone entered with his sick dubstep track, which he labeled "Shockstep," "Drop It." I haven't heard any great hard dubstep lately, but his beats are amazing! It has a great pump up feeling to it, especially at 0:53. The buildups in this track are great, and the bass is incredible. Give this a listen, and congratulations, Shocktone, on winning!
2) Minoru - Bucovina
Follow Minoru here
Minoru's track, Bucovina, has a great melody. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it reminds me sort of a street fair. Either way, the melody combined with the massive dubstep basses make this song unique, and epic sounding. Give this a listen!
